Found plenty of time in advance of Mother's Day, and what dear mother would not feel very loved to receive this one?! I just love that round cutout window, framing a view of the sprig of dried flowers (I think violets) mounted inside, with a piece of film taped down to protect it (just like a mother protects her children!) And with charming crayin drawn flowers on the face and carefully cursive written rhyme inside: Mother dear you are so sweet and kind, I am glad you are mine." And on the back, "from Mark (I believe) to dear mother" in purple crayon. Dated 1947, when the sender was 8 years old.
8" x 5 1/2" closed. Good old vintage condition, stable and not brittle, very charming.
