I love these tiny old celluloid boxes, threaded at the middle and just large enough to hold a pill or two--an emergency Xanax, say, to ward off a Covid-related panic attack. This little penguin, which I'd describe as Art Deco in style, is marked France on the Botton and I'd think dates to the 1920s-40s. Very sweet.
Overall, he's in very good shape, with no cracks or flaws in the celluloid, just a little paint loss and a little staining visible against the cream. 1 5/8" tall x 3/4" wide.
