Old striped Mexican Saltillos like this are just classics--good anywhere, anytime, always! Woven of light weight wool I believe on a cotton weft, this one has a dominant color of a heathery gray, interrupted by a rainbow array of stripes, including thicker bands of burgundy, plus a diamond pattern at the center. At 74 inches long by 37 inches wide (not including fringe) this one is a great size for wrapping around yourself--and plenty large for a companion as well--and snuggling up!
This Saltillo, c. 1950s-60s I believe, is in very good shape; no holes or tears. The dye has run in a few places, mostly apparent against white, as pictured in details.
