One of my favorite figures ever. I am sure the orange "wings" on this wonderful old fellow were meant to represent the tails of his coat, but, being jointed, one can flip them up high on his back to set him in flight! Wonderfully expressive, with fantastic color, and lending himself to a wide variety of positions, I could really photograph this figure forever. So so good.
8 1/4” x 2 1/4” x 1 1/2’ with legs straight down. He will sit up on his own in a variety of positions. The color appears to come from a papered surface rather than. paint, and is beautifully aged and worn. All joints are fairly tightly and move smoothly. Minor losses to hands and feet I believe, which don't detract a bit.
