This one I found loose in a falling apart late 1870s/early 80s sketchbook found in Pennsylvania, definitely of the place. There were some much more polished drawings in the sketchbook, like the ink drawing of a cow on reverse of this one, but I always favor the loose, offhanded ones--happy and imaginative departures from the drawing lessons at hand. Just my sort of doodling.
10 7/8" x 8 13/16". Creasing and some darkening to the top and bottom left far corners as evident, and scattered light smudges, toning, stains, all of a piece with it I think. No tears and paper not especially brittle.
