Mallard Duck, Old Birdlover's Watercolor

A few more this week from a larger set of wonderful old naive watercolors birds, done by someone long ago who clearly loved their birds. With carefully handwritten in capital letters attributions on each that I think makes them extra good. I have to think the Mallard held a special place in the heart of the maker, given a watery background  with tree, and painterly grass underfoot, that distinguishes it a bit from the others. Lovely.

6 1/8" x 4 1/2" and in very good condition.
