More and more, I am more interested in looking at (and for) photographs than anything else--in part because there are so many different ways for a photograph to be good, and also because there seems more potential for unearthing really excellent images than objects these days. For me, this double exposure snapshot is a perfect case in point--and a perfect thing. The accidental juxtaposition of this smiling young woman, laying back invitingly, and the crawling forward straight toward the camera second image feels like the manifestation of opposite but complimentary instincts--and, to me, add up to what feels quite like a portrait of duel aspects of seduction/desire. With her crossed legs as she reclines, and that one reaching arm as she crawls--just exactly right.
3 1/4" x 4 1/2", very good condition.
