I am a fan of pressed and preserved specimens of all sorts, feeling expressive of a reverence for the natural world, but so often come across herbarium in distressed states...so welcome then to find this group of three pressed leaves in their original mounts-- under glass, set atop what looks looks like waxed linen cloth, backed by cardboard, and with brown paper wrapping the corners. And, each just one single leaf, with handwritten identification at lower right, they feel pretty iconic, as if the one choice specimen to stand for the whole of the tree.
4" x 3 1/4" ea. All in good condition, lovelier in hand, no cracks to glass, corners holding tightly.
