Lovely Box of Spencerian Falcon Pen Nibs, Spencerian Pen Co., NY, Late 19th Century

Just shy of 20 Spencerian Falcon pen nibs (no. 23) in their original, beautifully papered box, dating to the 1880s or 90s. As a lover of penmanship  of course I like the idea of having a bunch of Spencerian pen nibs art one’s disposal, and also like this just as a found object of sorts, a box of infinite expressive potential. And the paper covering the box exemplifying cross-writing too! 

Box 2 7/8" x 1 7/8 x 7/8. All nibs pictured included. General light wear and age to exterior of box as documented, still sturdy and sound, and nibs in excellent condition.
