The late 19th and early 20th century yielded a really fantastic array of card games, and I do think this "Light Refreshment" deck is just about the most fun of all. Produced by Jaques Light, and rare to find now, this is a complete deck of 42 including 24 slices of bread, 5 knives, 12 fillings and 1 bones card. The instructions are missing from this deck but I've included photos of them found online, and will include hard copies when I ship. It's not complicated: players draw from the pile or each other in attempt to make sandwiches (consisting of at least two pieces of bread and a filling, the higher the value the better) but have to have a knife in their hand in order to play them! And the "bones" card is the old maid of the deck as you cannot make a sandwich with a bone! Super.
42 cards, 3.5 "x 2.5", very good condition. Slip box inner and outer box both in very good condition too.
