I find vintage Kodachrome snapshots amazing to begin with, making scenes and subjects seem super cinematic and often hyperreal. This is absolutely the case here, across a series of four snapshots shot out west in 1952, seemingly documenting the life of an aging cowboy, always in his hat and boots: starting a fire in the desert; on horseback (behind a cactus!) facing off with two mules; and shooting the breeze with a much younger cowboy. Then the last I presume capturing his ranch in context of the wider lay of the land. These feel almost mythical to me, and I keep thinking of Ronald Reagan as I look at them. Hyper American!
Each 4 1/4" x 3 1/6" Set of four. Very good condition, super bright and lush. Just a minor bit of curl (I believe from not having been stored perfectly flat).
