Ink Drawn Non-Plussed Owl on Antique Leather Book Cover

The aging of the leather on the this antique book cover nearly camouflages the owl drawn in ink across it, but not quite...as such, it feels like rather like a night owl, and one looking not too thrilled to be kept up late, perhaps doing homework! I'd guess the drawing not as old as the book itself, looks c. early 20th century to me, and the cover well older than that, with marbled paper on the reverse.

 5 1/4" x 2 7/8". Leather dry, with all over light cracking, the effect of which I like. Stable and not fragile.
