I'm a complete sucker for things like this, which I feel it is my calling to rescue and appreciate whether or not anyone else does. It's a (very) homemade box, I think the work of a young Horace Chase, who signed his name to one side of it, and then Stanley Chase, his younger brother I presume, took it over and signed his name to the lid, and another side, and then started in on a third. Perfectly wonky, and very sweet; feels like the sort of box in which one or the other of the brothers stashed dead bugs or other collected young boy treasures.
3" x 2 7/8" x 2 5/8". Scuffs here and there, all to the good, holding together sturdily, with the slide lid fighting tightly.
