I continue to inspect pieces of stone fruit wherever I go, only pulling the trigger when I find an especially good and singular specimen. This gently browning golden apple is really a beauty I think, with its speckles all over together with veins in the alabaster showing through making it extremely believable if not all that appetizing! With one very dark bruise (looks like a worm hole bruise to me) on one side and what might be a small patch of paint loss below it. I will never get over my obsession with pieces like this!
Apple sized: 2 5/8" in diameter x 2 1/2" t. Early 20th c I believe, with light surface wear all over.
