(Gleefully Exiting the) Path to the Old Man of the Mountains, c. 1950s Velox Snapshot

I really love this one. How completely gleeful he looks, striding and smiling and rubbing his hands together as if he's just hit the jackpot. Which seems exactly right in concert with the sign just behind him, marking the path to the Old Man of the Mountain View Point. I read it as if he is (both literally and metaphorically) taking the opposite way, almost defiantly: no old man trail for this spritely young fellow!
