A curious one, which I find super evocative and almost existential feeling, with a sort of Joseph Beuys locked in a room for three days with a coyote kind of elementailsm to it. (And with the tail of the lower fox--at least I think they are foxes--extending at such an angle so as to seem at first glance like the leg of the man, as if he were a human-fox hybrid. One can faintly see the honeycomb pattern of wire behind and around them, making it clear they are inside a sort of cage, but plenty of drama whatever the case, and ambiguity to whether our man is being attacked, pounced on with affection, or, perhaps most likely, has something to eat in one hand!
5" x 3 1/2". Small loss to left edge and some scatted dark spots/stains to the left of his head, pretty minor but visible, as documented. RPPC with unused back but black paper residue.
