For Grandma, from Allie, Christmas 1878: a very carefully pin-prick-drawn rocking-horse, from an era when rocking-horses were highly prized creatures! For me this is very much about the whole bright and proud package: the very carefully cut fancy decorative border to the cream board, and to the blue board behind it, and these perfectly tied ribbon bows at the corners, and then the note on the back, too; feels to me like the incarnate of what one (me) would like Christmas to be and a nice thing to frame up for a child's room especially.
7 1/2" w x 6" t not including ribbons and in good, crisp condition, with just one small stain between the back legs of the horse, pretty minor.
