SOLD Folk Art Ladies Leg Horseshoe Desk Ornament (Presumed Masonic, Pen Rest)

Regular price $100.00

I purchased this from a Kansas City based dealer in Nashville, loving the combination of horseshoe, ladies leg, and second smaller horseshoe, which I read as a crescent moon--all together making it seem many times lucky! I especially love the curve of the thigh as it presses up against upon the "moon"! Someone wiser that I says it is Masonic, and I believe was made to sit on a desk and serve as a pen rest (though there's no wear to show it was used this way), allowing three pens to be displayed horizontally on the steel nail heads that protrude. Certainly useful that way now, anyway, making it handy as well as, to my eye, quite fabulous looking.

5 3/8” t x 5” w x 5 1/4” measured standing up. Surface rust and general wear as evident; structurally in great shape, stands very sturdy and stable.
