Expansive Set of Handmade Ink and Watercolor Paper Dolls and Costumes, Early 1900s

Regular price $125.00

Quite a set! All made by the same young person, it appears--hand-drawn, ink and watercolor on light weight card, cut out by hand, most of the figures with tabs added on reverse for standing them up. And quite a cast of characters--mother and father,  a bunch of daughters and a son, two women who might be aunts or nannies or teachers , and one older, with patches on her apron, I take for a maid. And then a couple of smaller scale, cartoonish looking boys, maybe just meant to be the youngest of the litter, or maybe dropped in from another paper doll universe. Wonderfully specific, and detailed, and with many changes of outfit for all of them!

Father/husband: 5 1/8" tall. All pictured included. Very good condition, with an old tape repair to the neck of the mother, but most everything else as good as new. All included.
