I have a very deep and special love for the drawings of boys of about 7 or 8, and specifically action scenes playing out directly on the page--just about as direct a line into the imagination as exists, completely visceral and immediate. In a way I can't fully articulate, there feels something powerfully true and tender about the convergence of naivete and brutality in drawings like this--and one can feel the catharsis of pent up energy and aggression being released through the process of making it; the orgasm of an 8 year old. This is one of several I am listing, all by the same kid. With a parachuter mid-air, an excellent duck flying to his right, some animals (looking like cats to me) below, and gunfire and explosions everywhere.
11 3/4" x 9 1/2". Graphite on lined paper, very good condition, with a much more serene drawing of an instrument on reverse.
