A mock up for a school yearbook or a teacher's aid for memorizing the names of students, I am not sure, but I really love this slightly imperfect grid of young faces, each one loaded with character and all together forming quite a beautiful, diverse mix. I feel happier looking at this.
I believe the big bows and sailor's collar worn by some of the girls likely dates this to the 1920s or so. There are a few names listed on the reverse side but I haven't been able to definitely locate them.
9 1/2" x 8". Numbers handwritten in green ink along the borders, with a little smudging/fading. A little minor white spotting, mostly along the top row of images; overall very good condition.
