Early Celluloid Checkers in Original Box

Just a pretty, early set of celluloid checkers or draughts pieces to encourage putting those old checker boards to use! I love that these are in their original box, which were signed by their owner not once by twice--first one the underside of the box top in 1927, then on the bottom of the box on Feb 22, 1930--perhaps marking the date of a great win! And on the top of the box lid is the "Celluloid" trade mark.

Cream colored pieces show a little age/darkening, pretty minor, but no chips or cracks or other issues; overall very good condition. The box shows plenty of wear and the box top is missing one short end, but still holding together ok. Box measures 6 1/2" x 3" x 1. Checkers are 1 3/16" in diameter.
