This is a scarce one, in pristine condition, barely opened I think since being gifted from E.I du Pont de Nemours & Co. to the library of some unknown someone in the 1930s or 40s. I'm always on the hunt for color sample cards and books, satisfying things to look at, and useful reference and inspirational fodder for all sorts of contemporary creative production, too. Ninety dye samples here, "selected because they bear the properties necessary for the dying of rawstock to be used in the production of men's suitings and overcoatings," each dye applied to a stock of "medium grade pulled wool," with each sample individually adhered to the page. All of those documented, but I've not documented all of the pages of text, which include extensive information about dye properties, formulas, application, etc.
9 3/4" x 7 15/16". 18 numbered pages plus endpapers. Excellent, super clean condition.
