Like many things I find great, I'm not quite totally sure the purpose of this one! The cast iron shoe form piece measures just shy of 3 inches long, so seems small even for a baby shoe, so perhaps it was used by a doll maker, though why the tread on the bottom I'm not sure either; perhaps it was all about making tracks? In any event. with this wonderfully aged old wood "leg", I think it's a pretty cool object, and a nice and heavy one, which perhaps could be used in printmaking processes but is also good just sitting around. Perhaps exactly the right gift for one's favorite power walker!
6 1/4" tall x 2 7/8" wide x 1 1/16" deep. Great patina and indestructible.
