I've gotten pretty particular as far as old wooden folk art doorstops go but this one won me immediately, and completely. Quite an elegance and formal sophistication to this black and white pup--sharp and precise in a deco sort of way, and super graphic. (Has a bit of a 1920s-30s Grenfell Mission sensibility to my eye too.) Just right that the door stopper itself be green, peeking through the nice front view cutout between its belly and leg.) C. 1920s-30s. Found in upstate NY near Albany.
