I purchased this one from a seller in Germany--where the ink and watercolor postcard made its way from Tokyo nearly 120 years ago. I think it is just the loveliest thing, with these marvelously patterned curtains (and best of all that soft orange swag) framing a graceful view of Mt. Fuji, orange sun rising from behind it and casting the most subtle of rays. With a few tiny tiny sailboats dotting the pale blue water, too.
5 1/2" x 3 1/2 and in very good condition, used, with a nice set of postmarks on reverse. Definitely ink and watercolor; looks to me perhaps with some inked stamps used for the decoration on the curtains.
