Mermaids, swimmers, and skiers, oh my! These charming, finely made cross-stitch on heavy linen pillowcases feature grids of wonderfully detailed images: figures engaged in a variety of activities (a gardener sowing seeds, a couple dancing, a man playing a horn, a woman carrying a basket on her head..), animals (a bumblebee, a squirrel, a fish, a dog with a ball...), fruit, plants (including a fabulous cactus!) and flowers. While the iconography is the same on each pillow, one features an orange grid, the other blue.
Along the left edges of the backsides are button closures. The pillowcases, at just over 18" long x 13.5" tall, are sized for 13x18 inch pillows, not included. They are in excellent condition.
