This is an inventive creation made from scratch (scrap!) by someone who knew how to make stuff! It was welded together of cut tin, steel, wire, screws and who knows what all, but all of it metal I believe, yielding a WWI style triplane that I find a surprisingly elegant thing, almost like a three dimensional drawing in space with a rather balletic feeling to its lines. Great from every angle, it would be a nice one actually see floating in the breeze, but the arched pieces at bottom, which I believe distinguish it as seaplane, equipping it for water landing, make a perfect base for setting it somewhere.
13 1/2" l x 10" w x 5 7/8" t and in very good condition, I might guess 1940s-50s or so, definitely with age to it. Very sturdy and sound.
