This nude beauty sleeps atop what was once the lid of a box, making one wonder whether she once had admirers peering up at her from the sides of from whom she wisely took her leave. Wonderfully carved and painted, right down to bright red lips and fingernails. With a hook on the back for hanging, though equally good, if not better, treated as a sculpture to be enjoyed in the round!
6 1/4" l x 3 15/16" w x 1" t. Wood with polychrome. C. 1940s-50s I believe and in very good condition, with loss to the end of one leg as documented.
