I actually purchased this one from a seller in Portugal, but the message on reverse is in French--a handmade postcard with watercolor painting, signed what looks to me like "Laine" on the face, and dated 1929 on reverse. I believe the message notes that the sender had been to the left bank of the Sambre (river running from northern France to Wallonia, Belgium)--not sure if this church was glimpsed on that visit, but find it a lovely watercolor, with a bit of drama to that orange sky, and the framing too, as if spied through a scope.
5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and in excellent condition.
