Charming Set of Six c. 1930s Painted Wooden Folk Art Houses

Regular price $170.00

A few losses here and there but what a charmer of a bunch. One might guess each of these was modeled after a specific house in the neighborhood of the person who created them, c. 1930s I would guess, maybe just a little earlier--each is very much its own particular house, and in each case careful attention is given to the windows, doors, porches, awnings, and chimneys on each side of it.  Photos give a good sense--and of course I took pleasure in trying to figure out how to stack them up! Found in Lancaster County, PA.

Yellow house measures 3 5/8" x 2 5/8" x 2 1/4" t. Set of six. Well loved condition, with small losses here and there as documented. Sturdy and sound and all the better in hand. Solid wood block construction as shown.
