Charming Antique Embroidered Quilt Block with Bird and Pointing Hand

How nice it would be to have a whole patchwork of squares embroidered as wonderfully as this one. Terrific woven fabric too, which I think I'd be correct in describing as a sort of loosely woven damask. And the back as satisfying as the front! I'd call this a drawing as well as a textile and frame it up straight away (or pin it straight to the wall.) 

5 1/2" x 5 3/8", good condition, not fragile, just some fraying around the edges, stable.
