I think these cast pewter salt and pepper shakers (or maybe technically a pair of salts, though think they could go either way) make for great little tabletop sculptures, functional to boot. I love the combo of the smooth tops and roughly textured sides, with the tiered, tapering forms giving them an architectural feel. I've learned they are by Patrick Meyer, who worked as a metalsmith and jewelry designer in Paris before establishing a studio in San Francisco in the mid-90s making functional and decorative cast pewter accessories and objects.
Great, clean condition, with rubber plugs on the undersides that fit tightly and show no wear that I can see. Each measures 1 5/8” tall x 2 3/4” wide x 1 3/8” deep.
