Found in, and of Pennsylvania, I believe--and done on the reverse side of a page from a Kate Greenway drawing book, c. 1880s I believe. Children riding birds (especially Turkeys it seems!) appear to have been a fairly popular subject, featured on Victorian trade cards and the like. But I've definitely not found another including a dog named Dash following behind, his name written on his collar here. And a horn at the hip of this little boy (or little man?) in blue, as if he's on his way to assuming the duties of the rooster!
7 1/8" x 6 1/2". Graphite and colored pencil/crayon good weight cream paper. There is a small tear coming in from the right edge of the paper, about 1/3 of the way from the top.
