Such a cheerful thing--and I'm feeling at the moment that we'd all be wise to surround ourselves with cheerful things to brace against what is sure to be a challenging year ahead! I'm always glad when I come across a piece of vintage Mexican folk art pottery, especially one of these hand-painted candleholders with wire footed birds perched here and there in the manner of Aurelio Flores. I've never seen a blue and white one before, which to my eye gives it a bit of a Scandanvian flavor, too like a happy hybrid. Lovely.
8 7/16" t x 6 3/8" w x 3 1/8" d. Very good condition, with one surface hairline crack across the face of the top flower--minor and stable.
