Bliss Manufacturing Co. Litho Animals on Wood Bases

Regular price $35.00

I'm pretty certain this gang of seven was once part of a larger animal fleet produced by R. Bliss Manufacturing Company (Pawtucket, Rhode Island, 1832-1935), which came along with a wonderful Noah's Arc. Very late 19th or early 20th century, I believe, they're still in very good shape, litho on die-cut cardboard (printed on both sides) and mounted on wooden bases. I think I'd just march them along the front of a shelf to make myself happy!

Set of seven includes lion, tiger, elephant, polar bear, brown bear, and two buffalo. A little wear to the surfaces here and there but really bright and nice. Animals measure about 2 3/8" long, 1 5/8 to 2" tall, 1/2" wide.
