BLACK FLAG Insect Powder Puffer/Duster, Press Release Tin, c. 1940s

I love this for the bold black BLACK FLAG against bright yellow, very much including for its evocation of BLACK FLAG, the band.  And for being a fun thing to carry around squeezing! This originally would have held Black Flag Insect Powder, the oldest brand of insecticide in the US, which, when you pressed down on the center here, would be propelled in a poof out the spout. I have read that these puffer-dusters were often used for puffing the sheets to get rid of bed bugs, but I think more commonly puffing between cracks and crevices in the walls, etc. 

3 1/2" t x 2 1/2" diameter. General wear and age but still pressing as it should and the yellow and black remain bright and bold!
