Much Distressed But Marvelous Antique Tintype of Bird Like Couple in Dramatic Finery

This antique tintype shows a good bit of erosion, especially around the edges, but it's one of my very favorites of the week, particularly because of HER! What a face, what an outfit--I keep thinking she would be right at home at a surrealist ball! So modern in a way, and she looks quite like a bird, too--as does he, too, really, and such a dandy. With a classical column framing them to her right, a painted backdrop I believe--just right, including in conjunction with the deterioration of the photo, as if pre-cursing the fall of their society.
