Photos do no justice, especially in terms of scale and weight, but this is a large, gorgeously sculptural antique hand-forged iron grappling hook, which may have been used for hanging meat/game, but also seems possible to have had naval/maritime use. Definitely an old one, unusual for bearing old white paint, and with I think an especially great shape to the hanging ring. I’d treat it as found sculpture, but certainly it could be hung and used for hanging all sorts of things.
