Beautiful Early Set of 81 Color Cubes in Custom Box

I've said it before and I'll say it again--I'll never tire of color cubes, especially the early sets, the paint on which is so beautiful. And this luxurious feeling huge set of 81 blocks comes in a terrific old custom made, hinged box, which tells us that someone loved and used these a whole lot. The sides of the box are painted a baby blue, and printed design examples from the lid of the original box was glue to the interior lid of this one, with more around the perimeter of the interior bottom. It appears the "Color Cubes" label from the original box was glue to the exterior lid, too, but is nearly entirely worn away. Terrific box, terrific blocks, yum yum.

Box measures 10 11/16" x 10 11/16" x 2 1/8". Blocks measure 1 1/16" cubed. All in very good condition with appropriate wear, c. 1920s or so I believe.
