Beautiful Boys Wading, Old Snapshot Portrait

This is the second of two photographs of swimmers I purchased on a very sweaty day at Brimfield, but even in depths of winter I know I would have found this bunch too beautiful to resist--and the clarity and range of tones in the photograph make it an especially striking one. Such a wonderful mix of gestures and postures among these young men, making it feel like nine individual portraits while also very expressive of their relationships with one another, right down the line. Beautiful.
