I've bought and sold a fair number of bone dominoes at this point, and there is a lot of variation in quality; the very best are the very old ones where the bone is nearly as thick as the ebony, as is the case here. Other best attributes (to my sensibility) are lots of variation to the bone, and nice heavy brass pins, the more the better. These are tops in all regards, really heavy and substantial and a total treat to hold and play with. Definitely 19th century and I'd guess more Civil War era than end of the century.
No box, but I'm sure I have an old wooden box around to send them in. Dominoes measure 1 3/4" l x 13/16" w x 7/16" thick. There are a few small chips to the bone and ebony as pictured, but overall very good antique condition.
