Beatific Young Boy in Suit with Eyes Closed, 1940s Photomatic, Chicago

What a face, and what a moment captured--this child appears as if in as pure a state of rapture as I've ever seen! At first I thought a bit too cute in that little suit and cap, but the more time I spend looking at this the more I am taken it, with his closed eyes and open mouth expressing what feels like a state of pure transcendence.
