Barred Window, Empty Room, Meticulous Vintage Graphite Drawing

Found in Maine and unsigned, I'd guess this drawing dates to the 1980s or 90s, I would guess an art school drawing, and really quite beautifully executed. Yet while the formal execution is its own accomplishment, for me the effect is to place attention on the character of space itself, with that barred window, particularly, making it feel something of a metaphor. (But of course I see metaphors everywhere!)   

Paper size 11" x 8 1/2. Very good condition, crisp and clean and bright.
