Oh, what a sweet young man this Antoni must have been, who painted this postcard offering roses and wishes for a happy day to a Senorita Taquita. The fancy outfit and Italianate setting make me think he may have been channeling Romeo, and I find the whole thing, down to the expression on his face, incredibly tender and just the right amount of awkward to make it completely charming.
Dated 1928 I believe and in excellent condition. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2. No postmark--which I hope means he delivered it in person rather than never sending it!
