Antique Shaker Nail Found by David Malcolm at Shaker Lebanon Village

It makes me happy to imagine young David Malcom finding this Shaker nail on a visit to Shaker Lebanon Village when he was a student and thinking it quite a special prize, worthy of making a label for and writing the story of its discovery on a card not once but twice. The hand-forged large nail itself of course is beautiful, but it is the combo of nail and card that makes it for me.

Nail measures 3 1/8" l x 15/16" across at head. Card, missing a corner and showing some wear, measures 3" x 5".
