(Both sides pictured in first photo.) Two more (my last) of these this week--this and one other just listed--both to my eye and sensibilities completely delicious, and happily there are two sides to enjoy. (Of course I'd love to have the whole ledger this came from, but it would have been a massive thing to carry around!) I purchased five leafs from wonderful dealer friends at the Taconic show (all they had) and would be happy to have them surrounding me for the rest of my life. The year 1929 is written among the sample numbers on one page (not this one); the colors and patterns are beautiful; and the play of vertical stripes in concert with the grid just marvelous here I think, with the loss of of a some swatches just enhancing a sense of rhythm and syncopation. Really it feels almost like sentences to be read. All are finely woven flannels, with a beautiful spectrum represented.
19 1/2" x 14 1/2". Good condition. I had to shoot this under fluorescent lights (which I hate) due to its scale...it's all the more beautiful and of course tactile too, in hand.) Some samples missing as evident, fabrics themselves in very good condition. General wear around the edges of the paper especially to lower edge.
