It's the lovely handwritten paper label on the side of this box that sold me on it, but the box itself, made I believe of walnut, is itself very lovely, and inside are, indeed, a whole bunch of antique copper rivets and some other bits besides. I found these in New Hampshire and have found a definitely record for the Amos J. Blake (1836-1925) that they belonged to: a prominent attorney of Rindge, NH, whose home in nearby Fitzwilliam has since been turned into the Fitzwilliam Museum and Historical Society!
Box measures 5" w x 3" d x 2 7/8" t. Excellent condition. Contents are included, as photographed.
