I wouldn't call this a masterpiece, but I really like it---a welcome and very atmospheric counterpoint to New England-y portraits of houses, and in a sandy-cotton candy-ish palette that feels true to the desert and to the 1940s or so, too. I also like that it is signed at lower left " LaVilla Perryman" -- which seems to me could be the name of the artist or could be the name of the house (La Villa Perryman)!
12" x 9" and in very good vintage condition, oil on canvas.
