19th Century Seashells Watercolor Drawing, Signed, in Period Frame

Sale price $95.00 Regular price $110.00

This one just makes me happy, and I'd love to see it hung alongside a few Victorian seaweed pressings--perhaps near an open window with salt air streaming in! I understand from the seller I bought this from that it was found on Cape Cod, and I can almost picture its maker--R.C. Reynolds it looks to me--gathering and arranging  these shells in order to draw them. Lovely.

Sold as found under glass in the period frame found it in, which shows a few chips but I'd leave it just as it is. Framed: 12 1/2" x 9 7/8". Sight: 8 7/16" x 5 7/8". Watercolor appears to be in very good condition. Color closest to accurate in overall (first image). A bit of glare in some photos.
